October 2019 Gymnastics Newsletter

What’s happening at Red Rock!

Welcome Back! We had a fabulous first month back at classes!  We are so excited for the upcoming Season!  There has already been so much grown in our gymnastics during these first couple of weeks and we can’t wait to progress to harder skills in the upcoming months.  Our qualified teachers have been hard at work working out plans to best serve your children.  We know that there have been a lot of changes over the last month and we are so grateful for your support!

There are lots of new things this year, one being our Red Rock Junior Staff program!  All students ages 10+ are welcome and encouraged to participate.  Junior staff members will meet once a month to help our regular staff members plan and organize events such as service projects and holiday parties.  This gives them the wonderful opportunity to lead and be involved.

Also new this year is an in-depth parent handbook, so everyone knows what’s happening at the Gym!  We hope that it has helped.  Be sure the check your email regularly and watch for notes that we will be sending home to keep you updated.  We will also be sending a newsletter, like this one, along with a calendar at the beginning of each month so you are always up to date with what’s happening at Red Rock.

We want all of our students to come to class feeling ready and prepared to move!  Every time your child comes to class wearing their gym clothes (ie: not jeans), their name will be entered into a drawing to win a fun prize at the end of the month.

Our teachers have selected adorable costumes which are already ordered and are on their way!  We have sent home a note explaining different payment options that we hope will be helpful!  We also have CUTE official gym t-shirts that will be available for purchase at the end of this month.

Our teachers have been watching this last month for dedication and improvement and will be selecting a “Gymnast of the Week” every week for the gym during the year.  This is a great honor and we hope that it is something to work toward for all of the gymnasts!

Once again, we are so excited for the upcoming season!  If you have any questions and/or concerns, we are always around to make sure you and your kids have the best experience possible here are Red Rock!

Service Project Info

At Red Rock, we strive to not only teach our gymnasts skills to help them develop their talents, and keep their body strong, but we fee strongly to encourage them to serve their community.  Every month, we participate in a service project within our communication.  We are grateful for our September Service Sponsor – South Central Communications, and the volunteer center that helped our dancers put together over 120 Chemo Comfort Kits to donate to children battling cancer!

For October, we will be holding our “Socktober” Sock Drive.  We are asking every gymnast to donate one new pair (or more) of socks for those in need.  One of the most needed items in homeless shelters is clean socks!  We will have a basket for donations in front of our Gym.

We are also teaming up with Lumber plus for October to help with a local Care and Share Drive.  Look for an email on how you can sponsor a scarecrow to scare away hunger.
